Big Wave POV1.5The high quality 720 x 480 resolution recording of the POV1.5 means that you can watch your videos back on a big screen TV. You can hook the POV1.5 up directly to your TV or download the videos onto your computer. The POV1 also has a variable sensitivity microphone, which means that you can adjust the sound recording level to suit your application.
All POV1.5 kits now come with a 110 degree Wide Angle Head as standard. The wide angle head mimics your own field of view, so that the camera sees what you see. The POV1.5 records onto SD memory cards, so there are no moving parts. The POV1.5 will take up to a 8GB card, which will give 6 hours of continuous recording on the highest quality settings.
VIO made the POV1.5 waterproof; we've made it big-wave-proof. The VIO POV1.5 is waterproof rated to 1m, which isn't deep enough for sports like surfing. We developed the Big Wave POV1.5 bag to overcome this problem and provide surfers with the high quality point of view video they've been asking for.
The Big Wave POV1.5 is a standard POV1.5 kit with the digital cable (that joins the camera to the recording unit) embedded in a tough Aquapac, giving the whole system a waterproof depth rating of 3 metres (10 feet). The Aquapac has a clear panel so that you can still see the POV1.5 screen and controls. Simply stuff the Aquapac/POV1.5 down the back of your wetsuit in the small of your back and your ready to go. The camera mounts easily to a Gath helmet and you can use the remote control to stop/start recording.
The Nukeproof Mount not only gets its name from it's ability to bounce off rocks and reef, it also comes with the most solid mounting method out there.
The Nukeproof Mount comes with adhesive backed 3m Dual Lock mounting strips, which are constructed from polyolefin stems with mushroom shaped tops which offer five times the strength of standard hook and loop (velcro) fastners. Simply slap one of the mounting strips on your Gath helmet and you've got a solid mounting point for your camera.
You can Tag your clips on the fly, which will bookmark them for you so that you can go straight to the action when you get home. To extend your recording time and maximize the action in your clips, you can also shoot in the Clip mode.
Recording in Clip mode allows you to record for longer. Simply go into the menu, set your loop time (for example 5 minutes) and then start recording. The POV1.5 will record in a continuous loop (e.g. a 5 minute loop), recording over itself until you hit the tag button. When you hit the tag button, the clip is saved and a new clip started. In this example, this means that you will record back in time for 5 minutes from when you hit the tag button. With loop mode, you can have the POV1.5 going all day, but only keep the stuff you want. This mode is great for surfing - hit the tag at the end of the wave and don't keep the footage of you out the back waiting for the next set to roll in.
You can then edit and share your videos quickly and easily with the included POV1.5 Manager software (PC only). The POV1.5 manager software allows you to organize your video clips in a dedicated library and create a video from your individual clips. With the click of a button you can then share your video with your friends, who will be sent a link to the video in the on-line POV1.5 video gallery.
You can also hook the POV1.5 up to your TV and watch your clips with the supplied AV cable.
